Hello, teachers! šĀ Ready to take your students on a field trip without ever leaving the classroom?
This week, we are incredibly excited to launch a brand-new style of activity that will transport your class to some of the most amazing places on Earth. Introducing: 360° Cities Treasure Hunts!Ā āļø
We know that visual learning is powerful, and nothing is more engaging than exploring real-world locations. From the historic streets of Leadenhall Market in LondonĀ to the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, or even the Great Wall of ChinaĀ and Times Square, your students can now explore these immersive high-quality panoramas right from their screens.
šĀ How it Works
These activities use high-definition 360° images that you can drag, scroll, and zoom around in. But itās not just about looking at pretty picturesāitās about using English to find the answers!
Here is what makes this activity so special for your lessons:
1. The Treasure Hunt šµļøāāļø
Each location comes with 5 specific "Treasure Hunt" questions. Students must search the image to find the answers. For example, they might need to find the price of a sandwich on a menu, the name of a shop across the street, or the color of a specific building.
2. Student-Led Exploration š£ļø
This is a fantastic way to practice prepositions of place and giving directions. Instead of you moving the mouse, ask your students to guide you!
"Teacher, please scroll to the left."
"Zoom in on the red sign next to the pizza shop."
"Look up at the ceiling!"
3. Vocabulary & Listening š§
Weāve included useful vocabulary words with click-to-reveal definitions. There is also a short description of the scene with audio playback. You can use this for reading practice, or play the audio and have students write down keywords or do a dictation exercise. The possibilities are endless!
4. Discussion Time š¬
After the hunt, use the included discussion questions to get your students sharing their opinions. Would they like to visit this place? Why is it famous? It helps connect the lesson to their personal travel dreams.
5. Printable PDFs š
Need a homework assignment or a paper-based activity? Every location includes a printable PDF worksheet with the vocabulary, reading, and treasure hunt questions.
šĀ Try it Today!
These activities are designed to get your students excited, speaking, and learning about the world. The images are crystal clear, and you can even go Full ScreenĀ for a truly immersive experience.
