Recipe Writing Videos

Hey everyone, John from Cool English with your weekly new activities. This week I have a fun video set I call recipe writing. This can be adapted for all levels and is a fun review of food vocabulary, imperative structure, and sequencing. I already had Appetizers, Entrees, and Desserts. Now I added Pasta, Steaks, and US desserts.

Basic levels, I play the video, pausing every so often to have students repeat the recipe out loud.

Intermediate levels can watch the video, learn the vocab, and use the written summary to repeat the whole recipe.

Advanced levels can do all the above but also write their own version of the recipe.

I do one or two in class then assign the rest for homework.
