Hey there, Cool English teachers! 👋
Mother's Day is just around the corner, and we have the perfect new activity to bring some love and creativity into your ESL classrooms. We are so excited to introduce our latest interactive tool: Poems for Moms! 💖
This activity is a fantastic way to get your students engaged with English while creating something truly special for their mothers. It’s designed to help learners practice vocabulary, recognize rhyming words, and build beautiful (or hilarious!) poems, step by step.
Here is how you can use this amazing new activity in your class:
📝 How It Works
Choose the Right Level: Whether you teach beginners or advanced speakers, we’ve got you covered. You can select Beginner (A1/A2), Intermediate (B1/B2), or Advanced (C1/C2) to make sure the vocabulary is perfectly suited for your students.
Pick a Style: Students can choose the tone of their poem. Do they want to write something sweet and Heartfelt, or warmly Funny?
Personalize the Vocabulary: The interactive builder lets students fill in the blanks! First, they tap to choose a specific vocabulary word (like joy, warmth, or love) for the first line.
Match the Rhymes: Next, they select an entire second line from a list of options that perfectly rhyme with their previous choices. It is wonderful practice for reading and pronunciation!
Print & Recite: Once the choices are made, the tool generates a large, beautifully formatted poem. You can print it out for students to take home as a gift, or use it on the screen for reading and speaking practice.
💡 Teacher Tips
Don't forget to grab the downloadable worksheet included with the activity! You can use the worksheet for a rough draft or homework, and then have students use the interactive digital version in class. Have your students practice reciting their final poems out loud to work on their rhythm, intonation, and pronunciation.
