100 Basic Conversation Questions 1

Practice English conversations with these fun activities of answering and asking questions. 100 basic conversation questions.

Objectives

  • Enhance Conversational Skills: Strengthen the ability to ask and respond to a variety of conversation questions, fostering better communication and understanding.

  • Engage with Diverse Topics: Provide practice in discussing different subjects, encouraging thoughtful inquiry and articulate responses.

  1. Set Up Teams and Topics: Create teams within the class and ask students to choose one of the available topics. These topics will guide the conversation and challenge their thinking.

  2. Time and Questions: Casual Mode: Engage in a relaxed conversation using the four questions provided for each topic, without worrying about the timer.
Timed Mode: Challenge students to answer all four questions within a two-minute timeframe or 30 seconds per question. Facilitate interaction by having one team ask a question and the other respond, then switch, so that each team gets to ask and answer two questions.
Reward Thoughtful Responses: Award points for well-crafted answers that demonstrate understanding and critical thinking. Then, choose another topic and continue the engaging discussions.

  3. Individual Interaction: For one-on-one scenarios, you can alternate asking and answering questions with the student, creating a dynamic and personalized learning experience.

  4. Extend the Learning at Home: Assign homework by asking students to create and answer 10 more questions on their own. Encourage them to explore subjects that interest them, fostering independent thinking and creativity.
